Clarence Chow, P.Eng

Chairman, President & CEO

Mr. Chow is founder, Chairman, President and CEO of CGS Asset Management.  He is a registered Portfolio Manager and a Professional Engineer with 30 years of energy experience, including 20 years in the oil and gas industry and 10 years as a portfolio manager.  He has successfully managed and consolidated a number of investment funds and currently overseas an energy mutual fund as well as a number of flow through and private equity funds.

 

Prior to his career as a Portfolio Manager, Mr. Chow was President of Justinian Exploration Ltd from 1997 to 1999 where he grew the company from a single exploration project to multiple producing assets in Canada and Argentina.  Prior to this, he was the President of Mountain Energy Inc in 1995 to 1997, a 4,500 boe per day company valued at over $200 million.  Mr. Chow has held various executive positions in the oil patch, including VP Business Development at Morrison Petroleums Ltd, and over 16 years with Pacific Gas & Electric’s group of companies. Mr. Chow holds an Executive Business School Diploma from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario, a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta and is a certified Portfolio Manager.  He has been a director of more than 20 oil and gas companies and is currently a director of Angle Energy, Freemont Resources, Flow Back Energy and Procyon Energy.
